E N T E R T A I N M E N T Ryan Butler's acclaimed documentary A Union in Wait is currently being broadcast on the Sundance Channel, which is available to some satellite subscribers, and on Digital Tier 112 on Time Warner Cable in Forsyth County. The film was made in Winston-Salem and centers on the relationship between Wendy Scott and Susan Parker, whose attempts to have a commitment ceremony in Wait Chapel on the campus of Wake Forest University started quite a controversy. The film, which features interviews with writer Andrew Sullivan, gay-rights activist Candace Gingrich (sister of Newt) and the two women themselves, was recently screened at the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association convention in Dallas and will be screened this month at Reel Affirmations Film Festival in Washington. A Union in Wait will be broadcast at 5:30 p.m. today; 1 p.m. Friday; 5:30 a.m. Saturday; and 12:30 p.m. Oct. 31. For more information, log onto the film's Web site: http://www.aunioninwait.com/.
